USSSA finds a home in Suwanee Sports Academy

Its not your average place to go play a tournament.  In fact, many college coaches say its the best place in the country for a travel team event.  Needless to say, Suwanee Sports Academy has a reputation in national basketball circles.   A reputation built on 10 years of operating some of the country's most prestigous grassroots baskeball events and training some of the country's brightest basketball stars. Thats why the recent announcement of a partnership between USSSA and Suwanee Sports Academy just makes sense.

Although USSSA has been around for over 40 years, its relatively new to the basketball world.  But since kicking-off its first year of basketball tournaments in 2002, USSSA has quickly risen to the top in both size and reputation.   Last year USSSA had over 150,000 basketball participants and sanctioned more NCAA events than any other organization.   The number of teams and tournaments has continued to grow every year as USSSA increases its footprint to new areas.

Why such rapid success?  The USSSA approach is a little different.  While USSSA organizes qualifiers, state tournaments, regional events and a national tournament just like other tournament operators, that is where the organizational similarities end.  Check out the USSSA difference below.  

In 2010 SSA will play host to numerous USSSA events including the State Championships May 21 - 23 as well as support the USSSA state office in expanding USSSA basketball to locations around the state.   Its an exciting new chapter for grassroots basketball in Geogria.
